Better than many of the same priced hotels in the area
The room was big with a nice long desk and light, pleasant cream color. The room had a nice balcony but all the hotels on that side of the road are next to the waster water treatment plant. Not terrible but not a fresh breeze smell being so close to the waste water treatment plant. Price for the first 2-3 nights was 650 baht. Then they said they were full and I had to move. I checked on Agoda and they had rooms available at 899 baht and ended up booking for another 3 nights at the higher price. Finally moved 200 meters down the road to Phunara Residence. Phunara was another 200 baht per night $1040/night, same layout as J Sweet Dreams with a smaller, darker room. Mattress was on a plywood platform. Really classy. Phunara also had a higher Bookings.com rating and was inferior. The front desk help at j Sweet Dreams were the worst part of the Hotel. Unfriendly, not telling me the truth, not smiling.

Pleasant
Staff provided motorbike. Cheap budget room with AC.
The room and bed sheets were pretty dirty (stains). The staff was ok in providing information and support. Also, the hotel is close to a water station which smells horrible. The rooms don't smell at all but the short way to Patong center can be really unpleasant.

Overall a pleasant 15 night stay for me and my family
Good location, decent sized room, and very reasonably priced. The hotel is within a 10 minute walk of Patong Beach, and many restaurants. There's a Family Mart just 10 seconds walking from the hotel and a couple of 7/11s within a 2 minute walk. Nice mountain view from our balcony. Daily room cleaning. The owner is a very polite, considerate and accomodating gentleman, which made our stay more pleasing, he also got us a good price on a Taxi back to the airport, so thank you for that.
The receptionists are lacking at times with customer service and come across as lazy and miserable. My wife asked for some tissue paper from one of the receptionists and was told later, which never happened, maybe she was too busy sitting there playing on her phone. They could do with some training, they needent look far as the owner just needs to pass on his customer service skills to them, hence the score of 9/10. But, other than that is was a pleasant stay.
